There comes a time when a car’s wiring is past its best.

The combined effects of heat and corrosion – plus previous owner’s bodges – mean that it is cheaper to replace the whole wiring harness than to effect repairs to parts of it.

Project Shop has re-loomed many cars. It’s an involved job that requires lots of stripping beforehand. This is to get at all the places the loom is connected within the car. From tail lamps and interior light to dashboard and the engine bay, much of the interior needs to come out and anything else hiding parts of the loom.

It’s a job that requires diligence and accuracy. But installing a new harness will pay dividends for the next 30+ years.
