Classic Car Maintenance Course
We only know, what we know
It has been over 30 years since any of us have had to maintain or fix our daily cars. With the advent of electronic ignition, fuel injection and engine management, post 90’s cars became more reliable day-to-day and less accessible to fix at home. This has left today’s classic car owner with a huge knowledge gap when it comes to looking after the basics.
Here at Project Shop we are constantly fixing issues that can be wiped out with just a little bit of basic classic car knowledge. With the information in this course, you will understand how to take care of your car and save thousands on avoidable garage bills. We won’t turn you into a master mechanic overnight, but we can:
Show you what to regularly check, top up and adjust
Understand what fluids your vehicle takes, where you can get them and how to top them up
Build up an essential kit of tools which work on your car
How to jack your car up, without damaging it, using the tools you have in the boot
How to diagnose and fix common faults by the side of the road
Help you know what basic replacement/service parts to keep in stock and be confident in fitting them
Help you identify sights, smells and noises. Understand which you can ignore, and which ones are warning you that something is going wrong!
Help you feel confident every time you get behind the wheel
Set up a maintenance and improvement plan so that you can protect your investment
How to prepare your car for a winter lay up and what to do when you want to use it again in the spring
Above all, have fun in your classic!

“Now in my sixth decade of classic car ownership, I use Classic Project Shop for several key reasons – They are skilled, transparent, honest, and deliver on time. Equally important, throughout the process they share the same passion for the car and associated work as I do.”
Anthony Moody - Collector
“Kind, reliable and so helpful. I had purchased my first T25 camper and they checked it over thoroughly, explaining everything to be done. Simeon was attentive and never made me feel out of place or awkward. Answered all questions and found the best solutions. Personal and caring service and excellent work.”
